Job Description

The Offshore Vessel Manager works offshore on board Multi-Purpose ROV vessel equipped with Node handling systems and works on 1:1 rotation. He/She reports to the Party Manager and the Operations Supervisor.

He/She is responsible for the Node laying vessel operations and assists the Party Manager in the overall project execution. He manages the worksite on daily basis and is responsible for Operational, Technical, logistical and administrative follow up of the site.

• Offshore Management of ROV based Node Handling Operations.
• Management of Node vessel heads of department covering Marine, Survey, Mechanical, ROV. Tooling and Instrumentation.
• Coordinating Subsea Activity on OBN crew with all involved departments
• Driving Node handling performance through best practices and leveraging available technology.
• Identifying areas for improvement on Node handling activites and proposing solutions.
• Working closely with Houston based Subsea Manager and Operations management to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

•  Minimum level Higher National Diploma in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 3 years technical education
• Proven track record as an Offshore Vessel Manager, ROV Superintendent or Shift Supervisor
• Offshore Construction, IRM or ROV based survey background
• Knowledge and proficient competence with computer software
• Excellent Microsoft office skills to maintain and interpret various databases
• Project Management skills
• Ability to obtain BOSIET and OGUK standard medical certificate
• Frequent and worldwide, sometimes on short notice
