Ships Electrician

Duties and Responsibilities:	The Electrician is to work under the command of the Barge Master and is to carry out any work instructed by the Barge Master within the capabilities of the individual. This work may not necessarily be electrical or electronic. The successful candidate must immediately stop any work thought to be unsafe and report the incident to the Barge Master at all times.

Qualifications required:	Any potential candidate will need: Electrical Engineering accreditation with experience, be conversant in written and spoken English *Where English is not first language a valid Marlins certificate within a minimum 80% and TOSE Intermediate Level and must possess good interpersonal skills, have Health & Safety awareness and knowledge of safe working practices. It would also be desirable, but not essential for the candidate to also be Accredited with the 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations with a thorough understanding of 3 phase power and also have a knowledge and understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations and current edition of BS7671.
