Job description

Job Description For Offshore Focal Point With Stork:

  • Allocate STORK personnel to STORK work scopes ensuring appropriate skills, training and experience mix
  • Prioritise all STORK work scopes to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Ensure productivity of all STORK employees and work teams Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and within the required timescales i.e. timesheets, daily reports
  • Complete effective handovers for each crew change
  • Manage all STORK Plant, Equipment and Materials; ensuring all requests and movements are supported by the relevant documentation and the certification of all STORK Plant and Equipment onboard is in date.
  • Support employees assigned to the Platform progression through STORK’s competency assurance process
  • Ensure initial assessments and annual appraisals for all STORK employees assigned to the Platform are completed in accordance with the agreed plan
  • Support and improve personal and team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices and actively participating in supervisor’s workshops
  • Any additional duties required to ensure the safe and efficient management of Operations

HSEQ Responsibilities 

  • Raise Permits to Work using P Vision system
  • Complete Task Based Risk Assessments and Tool Box Talks
  • Report all accidents and incidents in compliance with STORK procedure
  • Lead and participate in accident and incident investigations where required
  • Actively participate in STORK HSEQ Conference Calls when offshore
  • Hold and lead a STORK Safety Meeting on each offshore rotation
  • Conduct and participate pro-actively in Advanced Safety Audits

Scaffolding

Oversee day to day scaffold operations with support from Forman / CH scaffolder to ensure all platform scaffold requirements are completed on time and safely in compliance with STORK scaffolding procedures.

  • Ensure all records are up to date and compliant with procedures for all scaffold structures and scaffold register is updated following erection / dismantle of every structure.
  • Manage Long term scaffold structures and ensure compliance with Scaffold Procedure regarding long term scaffold risk assessments.
  • With assistance from Scaffold Foreman / CH ensuring all stock levels are manageable and compliant with the contracts terms and conditions (20% of stock held v tonnage of structures erected).
  • Oversee with assistance from Scaffold Foreman / CH all ladders and Step Ladders  

Projects 

Be key offshore point of contact for all projects to be delivered by Stork

  • Key offshore Stork contact for all Stork product lines that require support to plan project scopes
  • Liaise with offshore key client contacts prior to team mobilising to ensure all relevant gates are open to ensure no delays are experienced when team mobilise.
  • Prepare / instruct creation of permits prior to project team mobilisation to ensure scope can commence at earliest opportunity
  • Ensure IAP Gate criteria compliance
  • Inform onshore team at first opportunity of any delays to scope to minimise Standby to client
  • Complete project daily report and send to onshore Project Manager.
  • Responsible for ensuring client acceptance paperwork is completed and sent Onshore.
  • Be responsible for all project Plant and equipment is requested prior to team mobilisation, on completion of scope ensuring all equipment is sent back to minimise risk to business in relation to out of cert P&E.

Deck Operations

To support the asset Core Deck Crew when required duties will vary between assets but may include:

Lead and direct STORK employees to ensure accurate knowledge and implementation of:

  • Risk Assessment and Hazard Observation
  • Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) Surveillance
  • Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
  • Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER)   

Technical Competencies Required: 

Deemed Competent in the Following STORK Standards:

  • Helideck Operations or STORK and Shell approved equivalent (if required to carry out Helideck duties)

Knowledge and Implementation of Relevant British Standards including:

  • BS EN 12811-1:2003 – Temporary works equipment. Scaffolds. Performance requirements and general design
  • TG20:13 – Technical Guidance on the use of tube, board and fitting scaffolding
  • BS 2482: 2009 – Specification for Timber Scaffold Boards.
     

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Relevant Scaffolding Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
Knowledge of Stork Product Lines
Experience with Cleaning / UHP Scopes
Experience dealing with several clients and managing large number of scopes simultaneously
Knowledge of Stork Scaffolding Procedures and relevant British Standards
Knowledge of Stork and Shell HSEQ Policies and Procedures
Communication Skills (both written and oral)
Computer Literate (MS Office, Email, P Vision)
