Technical Superintendent

We have an opportunity for a Technical Superintendent looking after several bulk carriers (Timber) to be based in Germany.

This position would be suitable for candidates that are fluent in German and English with a Chief Engineer CoC. As Technical Superintendent you will be expected to manage 4-6 vessels within the fleet, liaise with chief engineers to arrange all planned and emergency maintenance and work closely with the vessels to prevent breakdowns and minimise the effect to the vessel and the larger network.

Within this position you will also be expected to produce technical budgets for vessels and assist with controlling technical costs in line with the agreed running repairs budget.

The Successful Applicant

• Chief Engineer CoC and sailing experience (minimum 5 years)
• Fluent in German and English
• Will have previous working experience within a shore based technical management role.
• Ideally previous experience with Bulk Carriers
• Able to demonstrate an ability to foster close working relationships both internally and with external regulators.
• The right to live and work in the EU is essential for this position
