Job Description for Advanced Scaffolder with Stork:
An advanced Scaffolder is responsible, as part of a scaffolding team, for erecting scaffolds which are adequate for the purpose they were intended and comply with Stork scaffold procedure / TG20:13; ensuring that they are stable and in a safe condition.
He is also responsible, again as part of a scaffolding team for dismantling scaffolds in a safe manner.
Types of scaffold structures erected include – independent tied scaffold, tower scaffold, birdcage scaffold, suspend scaffold and cantilever scaffold. He is also responsible for the inspection of the scaffold on completion, and thereafter at weekly intervals, and to verify that the structure has been erected in the correct manner. It is their responsibility to ensure that plant and equipment is maintained on a regular and daily basis throughout the workscope duration, being a key member as part of the team to deliver a high standard of work on project completion.

- Erect scaffold tower
- Dismantle scaffold tower
- Erect independent scaffold
- Dismantle independent scaffold
- Erect birdcage scaffold
- Dismantle birdcage scaffold
- Erect hanging and cantilever scaffolds
- Dismantle hanging and cantilever scaffolds
- Understanding scaffold design criteria

– Core 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the relevant sector

– System scaffold training
