Shipping Accountant

We are seeking a Shipping Accountant for a traditional shipping company based in the Bremen city centre. They are looking to support their bookkeeping department with the addition of a Shipping Accountant on a 2 year fixed term contract.

The successful candidate will handle individual single-ship companies on their own responsibility with all the accumulating activities. These essentially contain the debtor, Accounts payable and G / L accountancy, as well as payment transactions and the preparation of financial statements.
You will have a completed business education and have several years' professional experience in accounting. A qualification as a financial accountant would be desirable.

In addition, you have relevant computer skills and mastery of the English language in spoken and written.

You will also be fluent in German.

Self-initiative, resilience, reliability and team skills are required.
