Marine Electronic & Electrical Service Engineer

Essential HR, an Executive Search Firm founded by Philippe Solere and based on the French Riviera is currently recruiting for a Marine Electronic & Electrical Service Engineer based in Hamburg or Rotterdam within a global company providing design, supply and maintenance in the maritime sector.

This permanent position with 30% travel in Europe is a replacement following an internal mobility.
He/she will install, test and commission various marine equipment and undertake system inspections on Cruise and Merchant vessels.

Main responsibilities:

• Installation, termination, testing and commissioning of electronic and electrical systems on board vessels
• Inspection, testing, fault diagnosis and repair of electronic and electrical shipboard systems
• Preparation of reports and supervision of crew and/or shore side personnel in conjunction with system installations
• Assistance to all Group offices on electrical and electronic engineering matters
• Other tasks achievement directed by the Managing Director or his/her deputy

Profile:

• Electrical/electronic engineering certificate or University degree in ships electrical/electronic and automation systems
• 5 years experience minimum in an electrical/electronic/communication engineering position
• 5 years experience minimum as an Electro Technical Officer (ETO)
• General Operator's Certificate (GOC) required. GMDSS Endorsement
• Open and flexible availability required (weekend & overtime)
• Proactive and autonomous for this hands-on job
