Essential HR, an Executive Search Firm founded by Philippe Solere and based on the French Riviera is currently recruiting for a Marine Project Manager based in Monaco within a leading global company (50+ offices worldwide).

This permanent position offers a relocation package and a temporary hotel accomodation during the 3 month trial period (cost of living on the French Riviera: e.g. a 2 bedroom apartment in French neighbour cities: 800-1,400€/month). Starting date: asap till end of July

He/she will manage new vessels design, ship conversion and machinery & equipment projects from start up to completion.

Key responsibilities:

  • feasibility & detail design studies
  • new building & conversion plan approval
  • client estimates & proposals
  • site & project engineers supervision with junior staff coaching
  • ship condition surveys, inspections and damage investigations
  • budgets and specification writing
  • technical & financial performance monitoring with monthly progress reports
  • quality plans with systematic and traceable records
  • marine consultancy providing 360° services and LNG/LPG & propulsion systems expertise to both internal teams and clients, especially on repair & conversion contracts as well as on the design, specification, plan approval and supervision of new constructions
  • support of the Engineering Director in the development of technical and project management capability: sales/marketing services, people, processes and tools

Profile:

  • University Degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture
  • Extensive project experience in marine mechanical/electrical engineering in the Shipping or Offshore industry
  • 10 years min. experience ideally as a Technical Superintendent, Account Manager and as a Marine Project Manager or Naval Engineering & Architecture Expert
  • New building and conversion experience in offshore and on cruise vessels
  • Expertise in LNG/LPG and propulsion systems
  • Willing to travel worldwide without impediment
  • Must be able to work on-site or in client premises without restriction
