The cost of this eLearning course is USD100.00, which includes a full online examination (you do not have to attend an external testing facility) and a soft copy Certificate of Proficiency.
Learners also have the choice at the time of registration to obtain an original hard copy Certificate of Proficiency, delivered to them by courier for an additional USD50.00.

With the implementation of the STCW 2010 Manila amendments to the STCW Convention 78 as amended, several of our clients requested that we provide STCW training courses in addition to the offshore safety courses that we were currently providing.
Due to the fact that SEATAG specialises in onboard training delivery, we do not operate a land-based training facility and were restricted to theory-based STCW courses, such as Ship Security Officer, and Security Awareness Training for all Seafarers, and Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties.
This Security Awareness Training for all Seafarers course is designed and is delivered in accordance with SOLAS Chapter XI-2 74 as amended, Regulation A-VI/6, Section A-VI/6 para 4, and Table A-VI/6-1 of STCW 78 as amended, as per the requirements of IMO Model Course 3.27, in conjunction with the STCW 2010 Manila Convention amendments, and in accordance with items 5.3 to 5.5 and Tables 5.5.1 to 5.5.6 of Resolution A.1079(28), the International Maritime Organisation’s Recommendations for the Training and Certification of Personnel on Mobile Offshore Units (MOUs).
This course aims to meet the mandatory minimum requirements for seafarers within the offshore oil and gas industry and marine industry for familiarisation, with Security Awareness Training for all Seafarers instruction in accordance with Table A-V1/6-1 of STCW 78 as amended.
Those who successfully complete this course should be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding of the information provided within the six (6) separate course learning modules that make up this course.
This course is the minimum mandatory security training requirement for personnel within the offshore oil and gas industry and the marine industry who are employed or engaged in any capacity onboard a qualifying vessel.

Course Entry Requirements:
There are no specific entry requirements for this course, other than the learner should be eighteen (18) years or older.
This theory-based training course has been designed to be delivered online via eLearning and contains six (6) knowledge and understanding requirements as defined within IMO Model Course 3.27 which are delivered in six (6) separate learning modules.
Course Standard and Accreditation:
This course meets the requirements of Statutory, Flag approved SEATAG Training Package – Category A - SOLAS Chapter XI-2, Regulation A-VI/6, Section A-VI/6 para 4, and Table A-VI/6-1 of STCW 78 as amended.
This course has been approved and accredited by the Singapore Maritime and Port Authority.
The outcome of this course is achieved through eLearning.
This course is available 24/7 online via eLearning as a 100% theory-based course and provides learners with the knowledge required to meet the mandatory minimum requirements for security awareness, in accordance with Regulation VI/6, Section A-VI/6 para 4 Table A-VI/6-1 of the STCW 78 as amended.
This training course is delivered under the guidance of the SEATAG Group ISO9001:2015 certified Quality Management System (Certificate ID No. SI121620091891) and is delivered and assessed in line with the SEATAG IADC accredited Workplace Training and Competence Assessment Assurance Programme (Identification No. D1029989).
Course Delivery Time:
This course is based on IMO Model Courses 3.27 with a delivery time recommendation of 4 hours.
This online eLearning course is self-paced and the actual course delivery time will depend on the current knowledge of the learner and the speed at which the learner undertakes the course.
There is an online multiple-choice quiz at the completion of each learning module and an online final test after the successful completion of the final end of the learning module quiz.
The pass mark is 100% on each end of the learning module quiz and on the final test.
The end of the learning module quizzes and the final test are remedial in design, meaning if you choose an incorrect answer, the learning management system will take you back to the section of that learning module for you to reread and find the correct answer.
The learner can only use the remedial process three (3) times in each end of the learning module quiz or the final test.
If the remedial process is used more than three (3) times, the learning management system will take the learner back to the beginning of the course to start over.
When the learner has successfully completed the course, they will receive a Certificate of Proficiency via email, usually within two (2) working days of successful completion of the course.
On successful completion of this course, learners will be issued with a Certificate of Proficiency in Security Awareness Training for all Seafarers, in compliance with SOLAS Chapter XI-2, Regulation A-VI/6, Section A-VI/6 para 4, and Table A-VI/6-1 of STCW 78.
The Certificate of Proficiency in Security Awareness Training for all Seafarers is issued under the authority of the Director of Marine, Singapore Maritime and Port Authority, and will remain valid for a period of five (5) years from the date of issue.
