STCW VPDSD Online Course Overview (USCG Approved)

Our PDSD online Course meets the requirements of Section A-VI paragraphs 6-B of the amended STCW code and leads to the issue of a recognised STCW Certificate of Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD).

The course is completed online with a final test. 

Course Objectives

• Roles and Responsibilities of Personnel with Designated Security Duties 
• Following and maintaining the conditions set out in the ship security plan and security levels.
• Recognition of security risks and threats 
• Security inspections and surveys 
• Understand the use and maintain security equipment 

Upon enrollment, you will receive your online course credentials, please note that this is a manual process, instructions will be sent by email.

On course completion you will schedule a date the final test. The final test can be done remotely by video or in person.

Certification is sent by email.
