Description:

The ECDIS - D44 course is in accordance with IMO template 1.27 and in accordance with Article 73 of the Regulations on the titles and certificates of seafarers' qualifications and which has fulfilled the conditions laid down in Tables A-II / 1, A-II / 2 and A-II / 3 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping of Seafarers STCW 1978, as amended.

• Knowledge of ECDIS capabilities and limitations
• The dangers of over-reliance on ECDIS
• Familiarity with ECDIS features
• Expertise in handling, interpreting and analyzing data obtained from ECDIS
• Secure monitoring and customization of data
• Confirmation of ship position using alternative means
• Use settings effectively
• Maintaining Safe Navigation Using ECDIS and Connected Navigation Systems to Help Make Command Decisions
• Keeping operating procedures, system files and data
