This classroom based course provides basic induction training in safety procedures and accident prevention, and to familiarise novice crew with the employment conditions and working environment onboard.

We normally offer this course as a part our U.K. MCA Approved STCW Basic Training Package and the dates shown are for commencement of that 5 day package.

If required as a stand alone qualification please contact us to confirm the exact dates.

Galileo Maritime Academy is directly accredited by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) of the Department of Transport of the United Kingdom to issue MCA Approved Certificates.

Entry Requirements

ENG 1 medical certificate or acceptable alternative.
Note. ENG 1 is not available in Thailand. We are able to provide details of where to obtain a Norwegian Seafarers Medical in Bangkok, which is an acceptable equivalent.
