Operations Assistant (Marine) – Cardiff – £18k – £20k plus benefits

This is an excellent opportunity to join reputable company based in Cardiff who are experiencing an excellent period of growth.

We have an immediate opening for an Operations Assistant to join the global operations team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Head of Operations and wider team with the timely completion of global survey and project management services.
  • Organise and monitor the timely completion of all assigned vessel inspections and projects.
  • Assist with internal job-priority management, in close cooperation with other departments in order to maintain and exceed agreed delivery dates.
  • Assist with inspection and project and report delivery.
  • Support the effective ”housekeeping” of internal databases and systems.

Experience required:

  • All round strong administrative and organisational skills are required, ideally gained in a fast paced office environment.
  • Be confident working in a customer facing role and able to maintain a level of independent control of workload.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Experience of, or a desire to work in the maritime industry would be advantageous.
  • Degree level education (any subject)
  • Experience in an office or administrative environment

You must live in commutable distance to Cardiff (or be prepared to relocate to) and have the right to live and work in the UK to be considered.
