Marine Service Technician / Engineer

We are actively looking for a Service Technician for repair of Marine electronic products such as Radar, Radio, ECDIS and Gyrocompass and Steering systems on board a variety of vessels from small boat leisure craft to large tankers.

Basic Skill requirements:

1. Good foundation in electronic control systems – preferable a diploma in Electronics or similar.
2. Good foundation in general electrical installation.
3. Good report writing skills and organisational skills.
4. Strong Computer skills for both operation and repair.
5. Knowledge of computer networks in particular TCP/IP networks
6. Willing to travel in Ireland and overseas – often at short notice.
7. Good wiring skills – neat work-man ship, in particular for installation works.
8. Full driving licence.
9. Minimum 2 Years Experience on Radar's and Marine Radio will be a big advantage to any applicant.

Specific Training will be provided on the products – primarily at the manufacturer’s premises.

A company car is offered with the position after suitable probation period.
There is a short written technical exam during the interview – about 1 hour.

Good command of the English language written and spoken.
