Marine & Technical Assistant (LNG) – 1 Year FTC - London – Competitive

A leading LNG shipping company with a global presence is recruiting for a Technical and Marine Assistant to join the team in London on a 1 year fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Fleet Team Manager, this role is to support the designated Fleet Team with technical and marine matters, working with Vessel Managers and Voyage Managers.

Other duties will include;

• Assisting with OPEX budget preparation.
• Conducting initial vetting of Technical Incidents’ and make recommendations to respective managers for updates.
• Organising annual inspections (e.g. LSA, FFE, SIRE)
• Assisting in preparing various reports as required, such as vessel utilisation and shareholder meeting
• Reviewing and approving appraisals of junior crew staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the LNG industry, have an industry related degree and have a proven track record in a similar position ashore.

Sailing experience as an OOW and/or operational experience of vessels is highly advantageous.

You will also be a team player, have strong analytical skills and have a proactive and positive attitude.
