SALES REPRESENTATIVE - Break Bulk  and High Heavy

Grapefruit Recruitment is looking for a Sale Representative for a well-established shipping logistics company based in Hampshire.

The Sales Representative role requires candidates who have shipping, transportation or logistics experience in High and Heavy, Break Bulk and Liner sales and who also have knowledge of the technical requirements of Break Bulk Handling.

The purpose of this position is to drive and develop High and Heavy Break Bulk and Liner Sales in the UK and Ireland, meet existing and increase targets with existing clients, whilst developing new business. Promote the company and liaise and support other departments to ensure future success

Main responsibilities include

  • Ensure performance targets are met and drive sales growth
  • Increase Break Bulk market share at a profitable level
  • Drive new business growth
  • Conduct regular customer sales visits throughout the UK and Ireland
  • Ensure successful negotiations and business contracting
  • Develop company and brand(s) in the Break Bulk and Liner space
  • Support global Break Bulk competence development through proactive knowledge sharing
  • Deliver on annual budget, forecasts and actual performance analysis within established guidelines
  • Execute as per customer and segment strategies for accounts controlled within UK & Ireland
  • Ensure all commercial activities remain fully compliant at all times
  • Ensure follow up on Customer Satisfaction within set framework
  • Ensure key market and competition information is circulated within the UK sales team and the wider organisation if need be
  • Identify key areas of improvement in the sales process and promote challenger or disruptive sales approach
  • Liaise with export areas on reverse sales / import business
  • Provide optimal customer solutions and increase overall Group profitability
  • Be a key driver in cooperation between Commercial, Trade and Operations through activities such as forecasting, prioritisation, performance reviews and improvement, and other relevant organisational touch points and areas

  • Hold a full UK and valid driving licence
