We are looking to speak with candidates with purchasing experience preferably within the maritime industry to join our client, on a 12 month fixed term contract.  As a Purchasing Officer you will be expected to provide a constant source of quality goods and services to the fleet of managed vessels, whilst ensuring competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and associated administrative processes.You will be responsible for sourcing, selecting and negotiating the best package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with suppliers.   If you are currently working within purchasing and are looking for a fresh challenge within a large organisation in the maritime this is the position for you.  You will gain excellent exposure to various suppliers and the processes involved in working with a global leader in the industry.

The Successful Applicant


  • Previous purchasing experience
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • The right to live and work in the UK


  • Marine Purchasing experience / qualification
  • Marine Purchasing knowledge
